The Weather Channel Max App Reviews

Like so many others, I hate the new app and I do not like the fact that you are allowing me to have it free of charge for a year when I paid for it!!!

The new app is absolutely horrible, I bought the original app and used it religiously. It was the best weather app hands down. It has been replaced by the worst weather app ever and I am very disappointed.

Great new features. Most accurate weather app Ive ever seen.

I didnt think somebody could screw up something worse than the government but these idiots prove me wrong. It completely destroyed a wonderfully laid out and functioning app to this piece of garbage that we have now. I doubt that Ill ever use it again, unless theres a major update, because like I said and many others, it stinks! Im now using weather underground; While not as good as the original weather Channel app, it is better than this piece of garbage. Somebody on the R&D mustve been smoking crack.

I agree with the other 1 star reviews. Very unhappy with the switch to the less useful version. Also annoyed with loss of an app I paid for expecting a reputable company to continue its support.

Please give me back my old version! Hard to navigate, hard to enter in locations that are not in favorites. Cmon man!

Not as easy as the older version

I purchased Weather max because I loved the format. Now its just like the free version. I wish I had not updated!!! HATE IT!!

This upgrade has forced me to try to find another weather app. The old app was very convenient, quick and easy. This is so convoluted that I cant use it.

It was great before. I loved that I could personalize it. I paid for ad free and now they wont support it.

The most recent update makes the app worthless - I have begun to use other sites where I can find what I want easily and without having to go through so much. Somebody really screwed up!

As a long time IBMer, I can assure you this is the "norm". I like many others, I paid for "MAX" a few years ago because at the time it was far superior to stocked weather app of iPhone (yahoo weather, yuck).... Then IBM got in bed with Apple a few years ago and surprise surprise... Apples stocked weather app (rather weather data was being pulled from Weather.com)... Although this was before the official announcement from IBM about buying weather.com etc, the writing was on the wall when weather channel failed to update "MAX" from for several years... With the deal with IBM now done, like many of their enterprise customers, IBM has f*cked their loyal customers yet again!?!?!

At first I was not use to all the information. And wanted results immediately! I took time to look it over and become familiar with all the choices. I now I love it better than the old version. Most people dont like change. Especially me. Give it a chance. Youll be glad you did

I loved the previous application and looked at it every morning. This one is slow and not user friendly.

I thought it was great the way it was. I paid for the ad free app years ago and used it almost every day. Now, Im about to delete it.

The new version of the app is awful! Gone are the ease of navigation to find the future forecast. Now one must scroll through screen after screen just to find useful information. Furthermore, there are useless links to bad reporting on a variety of topics, many of which have nothing to do with current weather conditions in one’s area. Finally, to replace a paid product with a forced change to a product that requires additional monies is at the least dishonest, and at the most illegal. I would not recommend this product to my enemies!

I paid extra for this app a while back so to say Im disappointed would be an understatement. Hard to navigate! Hate the new livery! Going to delete and use weather bug.

I assume IBMs greed is to blame.

This app is now in its death throes. Prior to this app we were using the ad free paid version. After being pushed to using this app free for a year I downloaded. It is now infested with the need to be scratched. Always needed to click or scroll to attain information that was much more available to access in ad free version. I think who ever you paid to rewrite this app should have used the prior version first to see the ease of use to avoid trashing a perfectly great app. In conclusion even after the free year offered after paying for the add free prior version I refuse to even use this for the free year.
